Akin J. Adeniyi is the Pastor of the Deeper Life Bible Church (DLBC), St Paul, Minnesota and also the Region Overseer of the US Central Region 2 comprising Deeper Life Bible Church locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa states. He began his ministry at the Lagos , Nigeria Headquarters of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry under the world-renowned Bible teacher, Pastor W.F.Kumuyi.
Upon arriving the United States in 1994, he continued his ministry work at the Washington DC Deeper Life district church. Between 1995 and 1996, he led the nascent Baltimore , Maryland DLBC district church before moving to the St Paul Minnesota district church in May 1997. He functioned as an associate pastor (District Coordinator) and the Search the Scripture (Sunday school) teacher till August 2001 when he became the church’s full-fledged pastor. From about 25 members in 2001, the church currently averages 150-170 worshippers on Sunday.
In 2002, the General Superintendent, Pastor Kumuyi reorganized the United States DLBC into regions one of which fell under Pastor Adeniyi’s jurisdiction. This added responsibility gave him a coordinating function over the activities of the churches in four states namely Minnesota , Wisconsin , Iowa and Michigan . As a result of this new arrangement, two cell churches commenced in Wisconsin (Menomonie and Milwaukee respectively) with an eye on another in Iowa coupled with an existing cell church in Ann Arbor , Michigan .
Deeper Life Bible church is a non-denominational church started in Lagos Nigeria in 1973 by Pastor Kumuyi, a former university don. With about 15 members, the headquarter church in Nigeria grew to about 140,000 worshippers every Sunday, making it the 3rd largest single congregation in the world.
The Deeper Life Bible Church , St Paul Minnesota , is an outreach ministry of the Lagos , Nigeria-based Deeper Christian Life Ministry. The church’s main mission is to reach the world and its local community with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. According to Pastor Kumuyi, "holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord, is the bedrock of what we preach."
